GUHYACITTA

Guhyacitta’s work unfolds with quiet presence, inviting the viewer into a space of stillness rather than spectacle. Living and practicing within a Buddhist Retreat Centre, his sculptures and paintings emerge from a life guided by contemplation, curiosity, and attentive awareness.
Without formal artistic training, Guhyacitta allows his forms to develop organically. His process does not begin with rigid plans or predetermined outcomes; instead, each work starts in openness. Forms arise gradually, often feeling revealed rather than constructed. This approach mirrors his understanding of creativity as a process of discovery rather than control.
Mistakes play a central role in his practice. Rather than correcting or concealing them, he treats errors as teachers—integrating them into the final work. This acceptance reflects a broader philosophical stance, where imperfection becomes an essential part of learning and growth. The material is not forced into submission but listened to, responded to, and respected.
What distinguishes Guhyacitta’s work is the sincerity of its process. Creativity, for him, is an act of listening—to the material, to the present moment, and to the subtle movements of the inner mind. Each gesture carries a sense of attentiveness, as if the work is shaped through dialogue rather than assertion.
His sculptures and paintings do not seek to dominate space; instead, they coexist gently within it. They function as quiet meeting points between silence and form, where awareness becomes visible without explanation.
Through this restrained and mindful approach, Guhyacitta reminds us that art does not always need complexity or virtuosity to carry depth. Sometimes, it is through simplicity, patience, and openness that the most resonant expressions emerge.
